Abbeyrose Gelsomina is a performer based in NYC. She seeks radical love and liberation from evil. Your favorite avant-garde ingenue, her voice type is Soprano Assoluta.

While in college, Abbeyrose was handpicked by Charles Strouse to reprise her lead role in his and Lee Adams' first musical, A Pound in Your Pocket, at 54 Below. She also originated the role during its NYC premiere in 2016. She played this part under the name Abbey Jasmine Rose.


Abbeyrose was recently nominated for best actress in a short film at the International Christian Film Festival for her work in "My Existential Crisis".

Her senior thesis, Mermaid Debutante Ball, was a mermaid-themed concert & art fest in NYC. Over 300 people attended and according to her younger friends, the ball has gone down at TKC as a legendary night in college pop-history. 


Abbeyrose performed the role of Regan in Dennis Yueh-Yeh Li's adaptation of King Lear, L.EAR, todo en Español.

She also performed in Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues for the 20th Anniversary.

Abbeyrose is an alumna of The King's College NYC (BA in Media, Culture, and the Arts) and Circle in the Square Theatre School's 2-Year Musical Theatre Program. During her school years in NYC, she became a company member of The Living Theatre, sang and acted in several musicals, concerts, and plays (some self-produced), learned how to play ukulele and piano, ventured in and out of the colorful world of bodypainting, released original music, taught voice lessons and design, made giant paintings, wrote, and did lots of performance activism

She also is actively involved at a Reconciling in Christ church in Greenpoint and enjoys going to performance art events and dance parties. Abbey is married to her childhood best friend.

Next, she will release her debut album, which she has been working on for a few years with love and care.
